The most conventional way of addressing congestion is by expanding the roadway system, i.e. increase the supply. But congestion can also be addressed by strategically reducing demand and/or improving traffic flow. Innovative intersections focus on the demand and flow of traffic instead of the supply side. But there is a lot more that can be learned from the demands and flow side of congestion. Participants in this course will learn about the principals of demand and traffic flow that will enable them to develop their own innovative solutions. Participants will also learn other effective ways to address congestion through principals of supply, demand, and flow.

Target Audience: Participants in this course will learn about the principals of demand and traffic flow that will enable them to develop their own innovative solutions.
