Whoever came up with this idea had to flunk out of Civil Engineering at the lowest ranked school in the USA. The only advantage I see is that it is cheater than the others solutions. So now 280 traffic has to cross opposing traffic just to get through the interchange ???. Who ever gave this a good review never had to sit for 15 minutes waiting to get through the interchange. They forget the human factor of people pulling into the center of the junction before the lane moves and than they sit there when the light turns green for the cross traffic and there they sit, blocking traffic. They mentioned it was started in France which should have been a clue as to how bad a design it was.
